What the rest of us can do while 2 Billion plus are watching the Royal Wedding

per WSJ: "An estimated two billion TV viewers will see all or part of the coverage of Prince William and his longtime girlfriend Kate Middleton exchanging vows at Westminster Abbey. Add an expected 400 million for online streaming and radio and the number swells to nearly 35% of the world's population. An additional 800,000 observers likely will crowd outside Buckingham Palace the day of the event, many of them tweeting and Facebook posting and shooting video with their phones."

OK. snoring, boring for some, egregious ostentation for others...

so just for fun, how about posting some creative concepts for those of us who-can't-be-paid-enough-to-watch-that-crap to do while all the hoopla is going on, endlessly.

lucrative=ok(no robbing of banks), obscene=not ok (no stick-it-where jokes please).

  1. Gilly,
I will probably watch the wedding. In a world that is so filled with war, mayhem and hate, what harm can there be? Watching Diana get married so many years ago was the stuff of fairy tales. I don't think the "royal family" has much relevance in today's world, it's true, but IMHO, we could all use a little magic.

BTW, I don't watch reality TV so I think I'm entitled to watch a fairy tale.

  2. absolutely...not saying people shouldn't watch. its all the attendant hype, lavish spending, & endless media coverage that turns me off. definitely enjoy the fairy tale, when it works for you. XG
